QuoVadis Co-Sponsors Disaster Recovery Workshop in Bermuda
19 Jan 2004

The ravages of Hurricane Fabian made it clear that every organization, regardless of size, must plan for business continuity and recovery.

In conjunction with the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce Business Technology Division, QuoVadis will provide an open workshop for Bermuda companies seeking to plan their response to disasters, disturbances, and service outages.

Walter Cooke, Chief Security Officer of QuoVadis, will present a practical overview of disaster recovery planning for the small-to-medium sized organization, leading to the creation and testing of actionable contingencies.  Mr. Cooke has more than 30 years of experience in the IT and systems security field including significant consulting on availability and continuity issues for both the corporate and public sectors in Bermuda, North America, and South Africa.

Other speakers will address insurance, crisis communications, and government services in response to critical events.

The free workshop will take place on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 between 5:30 and 8:00 p.m. at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess.  Other sponsors include XL Capital, AAC, BF&M, Cellular One, MTEC, TeleBermuda International, and CableVision.
